MICCAI 2007, the 10th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, will be held from 29 October to 2 November 2007 in Brisbane, Australia. MICCAI typically attracts over 600 world leading scientists, engineers and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines associated with medical imaging and computer assisted surgery.
The venue for MICCAI 2007 is the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, a modern world-class facility. Brisbane is a city of approximately two million people, located on a major river close to the sea. It is the capital of the State of Queensland, home of Australia's Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage tropical rainforests.
Topics to be addressed at MICCAI 2007 include, but are not limited to:
| 19 January 2007 | Tutorial and workshop proposals |
| 16 February 2007 | Acceptance of tutorials and workshops |
| Submission of full papers | |
| 1 June 2007 | Acceptance of papers |
| 29 June 2007 | Camera ready copy for papers |
| 29 October - 2 November 2007 | Tutorials, Conference, Workshops |
We invite electronic submissions for MICCAI 2007 (LNCS style, double blind review) of up to 8-page papers for oral or poster presentation. Papers will be reviewed by members of the program review committee and assessed for quality and best means of presentation. Besides advances in methodology, we would also like to encourage submission of papers that demonstrate clinical relevance, clinical applications, and validation studies.
Tutorials will be held on 29 October 2007 and will complement and enhance the scientific program of MICCAI 2007. The purpose of the tutorials is to provide educational material for training new professionals in the field including students, clinicians and new researchers. The website facility for submitting tutorial proposals will open in October 2006.
Workshops will be held on 2 November 2007 and will provide opportunity for discussing technical and application issues in depth. The purpose of the workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum on topics which will not be fully explored during the main conference.
