Welcome Reception - Plaza Terrace, BCEC
18:30-19:30 Monday 29 October 2007

All registered conference delegates are invited to attend the Welcome Reception held on Monday 29 October within the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will take place on the Plaza Terrace on the upper level of the conference centre from 18:30-19:30. Smart casual dress is appropriate for this reception.

Delegates will be required to display their registration tag upon entry to the Welcome Reception.

The registration desk is open all day, every day (from 07:30 Monday and Tuesday mornings) and we encourage delegates to register on Monday if possible.

Traditional Welcome - Great Hall, BCEC
8:40-9:00 Tuesday 30 October 2007

The conference will commence with a dance ceremony performed by the traditional aboriginal owners of the area. Delegates are requested to have completed their registration on-site and be seated inside the Great Hall prior to this event, which will start at 8:40 sharp.

Conference Banquet - Plaza Ballroom, BCEC
19:00-23:00 Wednesday 31 October 2007

The conference dinner is included in the price of registration, for all registered conference delegates. The dinner will be held in the Plaza Ballroom within the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19:00-23:00. Some entertainment and formal proceedings will be included in the event, and background music will be provided after the conclusion of the meal. Smart casual dress is appropriate for the banquet.

Soccer Match - Souths Leagues Club, West End
17:30-19:30 Thursday 1 November

A traditional part of the MICCAI conference is a friendly soccer match. The MICCAI 2007 match will be held at Souths Leagues Club, Davies Park, West End, which has change room and bar facilities. The field is located five minutes from the conference venue and taxis will be arranged for interested parties, departing the conference venue at 17:30. There will be opportunity at the registration desk for delegates to express their interest in participating. A limited number of places will be available so the activity may be restricted on a first come-first served basis.
